Symbologies

To Modify a Default Symbology

  1. Right-click Default symbology and select Edit.

    The Spatial View Editor dialog opens.

  2. Set the controls for each default symbology as you wish.
  3. Click OK.

Spatial View Editor Dialog

Used to edit the default symbology used to display the spatial location over the background map.

Opens when you right-click the Default symbology and select Edit.



SettingDescription
Default symbology for:

The name of the Default View that will display in the Symbology Legend.

Show Tooltips

Check this option if you want the Default View to allow the display of tooltips.

Highlight Color

Use to define the color of the selected geometry.

Document Symbology This symbology is used to display the spatial locations of documents. It is the default document view.
Folder Symbology This symbology is used to display the spatial location of the current folder.
SubFolder Symbology This symbology is used to display the spatial locations of subfolders.
Component Symbology This symbology is used to display the spatial locations of components.
Line Color

Use to define the outline color of the geometry used to represent a spatial location. Opens the Color dialog, which is used to select a color.

Line Weight

Use to specify the outline weight of the geometry used to represent a spatial location. Choose the desired weight value from the Outline Weight list.

Fill Color

Use to define the color that fills the geometry used to represent a spatial location. Opens the Color dialog, which is used to select a color.

Transparency

Use to set the degree of transparency for the fill color. Transparency may vary from 0% to 100%, with a value of 0% indicating no transparency at all, while a value of 100% indicates complete transparency in the selected color.

Symbol

Select to display Windows icons.

Tooltip Attribute

Contains controls to optionally display tooltips in the Spatial Navigator when you move the cursor over Spatial Locations. The Tooltip controls define the display options.
